Hello,
I grew up on the Isle of Sheppey and watched Sheppey United every other Saturday at their home ground of Botney Road. In those days Sheppey played in the Kent League then gained promotion to the Southern League southern division. Sheppey sold their ground for housing development and eventually folded as senior team in the early 1990′s. I would love to find some old photo’s of Botney Road (any era) and wondered f you knew of any sites that may have some. Best regards Paul
You’ll need to get down to Walton & Hersham at some stage. Close to the station, a Wetherspoons in the old cinema – and flocks of parakeets. Don’t bank on a veggie snack, however.
